Carney On Why Obama Will Force Catholic Employers To Cover Contraception: People Of Faith Need Contraception As Well…

But forcing an employer to pay for it is something completely different.

(Washington Examiner) — White House Press Secretary Jay Carney clarified President Obama’s position on the contraception mandate for employer provided insurance.

“We need to make sure that those employees of all different faiths have access to contraception,” Carney said, insisting that President Obama “struck the right balance” in his decision.

“We obviously believe this is constitutional,” said Carney, adding that President Obama’s decision was to ensure that, “women who want access to contraceptives are able to get them without paying co-pay every time they go to a pharmacy.”

Carney added that President Obama was not going to consider rescinding the mandate in spite of an uproar from leaders in the Catholic Church and other religious organizations.

“This is not a decision of politics,” Carney stated. “This provides an important preventive service for people around the country and is not in any way a violation of the conscience clause.”

For Jivin Jay: In 1872 the Arabs invented the condom, using a goat’s lower intestine . In 1873 the British refined the idea by taking the intestine out of the goat first.

Hey, didn’t you know that no one should be responsible for anything they use. Someone else should pay for it. Even if it requires the hand of the imperial federal government to enforce it. Tax others and give to someone not willing to pay for it.

Pay for someone who is not willing to work’s needs so they can spend what money they can cobble together on their wants.

We have to get rid of zero ASAP.

“every time they go to a pharmacy without having to co-pay” – well, I’ll be danged. I pay every time I pick up a prescription, so does my husband, so does my neighbor and so does every one else that catches a cold. If it’s for contraceptives I’m betting that if you’re really serious you’ll find the means to pay for it. Or…..is this for the morning after pill? And, no Carneytas, I don’t feel obligated to pay for someone else’s cold or sex life.

Forcing a religious hospital, or forcing a religious instituion or organization to pay for contraception, AND ABORTION is constitutional?

    In what universe is this?

That would be as Constitutional as forcing the general population to purchse something they don’t want.

These idiots just keep on digging deeper each day.
Maybe they know they are doomed, so they just want to screw with us as much as they can while they’re still here.

Contraception falls under the ‘Entertainment Supplies’ category as far as i’m concerned. Should we have to supply lanterns and tents to people who want to go camping?

There is no justifiable reason to make one person pay for the ‘fun’ that someone else is having.

This whole abortion thing is almost surreal. They are actually willing to take the political and social backlash from direct, scorched earth attacks against groups like the Catholic Church and Susan G. Komen. It is almost like they have made a deal with the Devil and if the flow of dead babies slows down he will reach up and claim them early or something. Or perhaps it is all about the money after all. It must be horrible to be a liberal and realize other peoples money is about to run out. Since they don’t have the first clue how to generate anything on their own it is like a death sentence or something.

The ones who are going to be hurt are the ones the Dems claim to be trying to protect. All they have to do is only offer services to Catholics, and they will be able to keep their insurance the way it is. To do that, they will have to quit serving non-Catholics.

Which is another way of stifling the Catholic religion, by preventing them from helping others the way they believe they should.

I’ve reworked the story with one small change, how’s it read now Jay?

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney clarified President Obama’s position on the pork mandate for employer provided meat products.

“We need to make sure that those employees of all different faiths have access to bacon,” Carney said, insisting that President Obama “struck the right balance” in his decision.

“We obviously believe this is constitutional,” said Carney, adding that President Obama’s decision was to ensure that, “women who want access to pork chops are able to get them without paying co-pay every time they go to a butcher.”

Carney added that President Obama was not going to consider rescinding the mandate in spite of an uproar from leaders in the Muslim community and other religious organizations.

“This is not a decision of politics,” Carney stated. “This provides an important delicious service for people around the country and is not in any way a violation of the conscience clause.”

Yes, because of Islamic finance and SHARIA LAW, being implemented as we speak MUSLIMS, radical or not “radical” are exempt from the lovely Obamacare. Indeed I believe that they “consider insurance, all insurance, a “form of gambling’ which is BAD as opposed to say beheading or chopping off hands and or feet which is GOOD.

“important preventive service” is a phrase that Carney is fond of repeating in reference to the defense of PP.

As our Katherine so astutely pointed out in an earlier thread, making ‘pregnancy a disease and children a form of repression’ is a hallmark of leftist policy..

Destroying/preventing the basic social unit, the family, is one of the end game goals of the left. Why? Because there is to be no other family but the party and the state. The state wants the final say. They will choose and control who has children, how many ‘units’ will be permitted and by whom and which pregnancies are to be deemed wanted or unwanted.

All the happy talk of granting choice, rights and privacy…they are to be under the control of the state.
