Note To The Left: Susan G. Komen Stopped Funding Planned Parenthood Because They Do Not Perform Mammograms…
The dirty little secret the left wants everyone to ignore. Planned Parenthood is first and foremost an abortion provider and doesn’t perform mammograms, they only refer women to clinics that actually perform them. In other words, Komen was getting nothing for their money.
(LifeNews) — During a conference call with reporters this afternoon, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure CEO Nancy Brinker and President Elizabeth Thompson revealed the main reason why the Planned Parenthood abortion business lost its funding. It doesn’t do mammograms.
“It was nothing they were doing wrong,” Brinker explained. “We have decided not to fund, wherever possible, pass-through grants. We were giving them money, they were sending women out for mammograms. What we would like to have are clinics where we can directly fund mammograms.”
She added, later in the day on Twitter:, saying the money “will be invested in programs to serve low-income, uninsured and underinsured women.”
“Our Board approved new grants standards to improve direct services to women,” she said. “New grants standards strive for grants that provide direct services and outcomes. We have to put metrics, outcomes and measures to our grants so we can translate the science we’ve funded over 30 yrs. We will continue to provide services to vulnerable populations with care, treatment and screening.”
“We’ve decided not to fund pass-through grants. What we would like is to have clinics where we can directly fund mammograms,” she added.

Let’s hope the Susan G Komen organization stands firm on their correction of not giving funds to the Planned Parenthood murderers.
The story of Susan Komen’s sister starting the Race for the Cure is noble and heartwarming. She made a HUGE mistake to tie it to the despicable abortion industry that provides no services to detect or prevent breast cancer.
They are on the right path to clean up their image and pull the good name of Susan G Komen out of the gutter and back to the dignity where it started.

Komen defunded cancer screenings for 170,000 poor women because PP has no x-ray machines in the same way the Head Zipperhead started this blog to provide high quality, evenhanded and well-thout political commentary. It is to laugh.
PP not giving mammograms to underprivileged women is the Inconvenient truth the MSM will not mention——–just ratchet up the masses to hate—-that is what the MSM does.

Not to mention that there is a correlation between abortion and breast cancer. Kind of stupid for a non-profit like SGK to be providing funding to an abortion mill like PP. Idn’t it?
Abortion increases a woman’s risk of getting breast cancer by 40%! Until Komen starts addressing the abortion/breast cancer link they will not get any of my support. If Komen really gave a shit about “women’s health” they would make sure that every single woman knew the risk factors – regardless of how politically inconvenient they are.

There is no “secret” and the faux facts used to support it are just that… Bunk!. Planned Parenthood provides health services and advice. Abortions are a small part and although may be to some morally offensive they are a necessary option for women in some cases and legal. Pontificating all or nothing is ignorance and generally really not pro-life… its pro-religious dogma.
Planned Parenthood doesn’t require a membership card or a non-disclosure agreement. Anyone can go and find out for themselves. There is no there there…. SGK is a corporate charity. The board pay themselves quite generously and the administrative costs are way too high. It’s a shell of itself gutted from within like everything the religious right get their hands on.
