Mooch To Promote “Healthy Eating” At Bottomless Pasta-Pit Olive Garden…

Because who doesn’t think “healthy eating” when they are gorging themselves on an endless pasta bowl?

(Politico) — First Lady Michelle Obama will help celebrate the second anniversary of the Let’s Move program at a Fort Worth, Texas-area Olive Garden next week.

According to the White House, the first lady will hold a roundtable discussion on February 9th at the chain with local parents who have made a commitment to healthier eating in their homes and communities.

While the Olive Garden is better known for its bottomless pasta, the appearance is due to a commitment by the restaurant’s parent company to offer healthier options for children. Darden, the corporation which owns Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Longhorn Steakhouse, signed a legal agreement last year to offer healthier side dishes and better food options for children’s menus.

Four black women (two mother-daughter teams) just beat the living shit out of their waitress at a Red Lobster because they claim the order was wrong. I bring this up because Red Lobster being one of the chains Michelle is trying to make healthy for children.

Imagine a meek white waitress trying to explain to these thugs about Michelle’s Rules and that their overweight daughters couldn’t get french fries as a side dish. She’d be in a coma.

Darden’s CEO is African-American. Queen Michelle holds domain over her people in position to bow for effect.

boycott Olive Garden! it a fat ass house

    quote
Olive Garden is apologizing for refusing to allow an 80-year-old Kiwanis Club member to display the U.S. flag at an Alabama restaurant.

The Kiwanis Club in the east Alabama city of Oxford had planned a banquet, but Marti Warren, of Anniston, said she wasn’t allowed to bring the flag or a banner into the building.

Warren, in a Fox News interview, said, “This is not my country. This is not my country I grew up with.”

OG agreed to serve smaller more healthier portions to their customers at the first wookie’s request.

Doesn’t matter to me, I quit going to OG when they stated hating on the American Flag.

Call me racist, but the Red Lobster story is why people move out when blacks move in. You can take the woman out of the ghetto but you can’t take the ghetto out of the woman.

  20. LadyLiberty1885 says:
    February 3, 2012 at 4:38 pm

OG is owned by Darden. Mooch put the strong arm on them last Fall. Just one of many restaurant groups she has basically blackmailed into doing as she wishes them to. Making smaller portions that we pay full price for, removing items from the menus completely and insisting on specific calorie counts per item. The woman is literally dictating how businesses can operate and what we can or cannot eat.

Olive Garden: American Flag Display Would ‘Disrupt the Dining Experience’

80-year-old Marti Warren thought she was doing a good thing a little over a month ago when she booked a local Olive Garden restaurant in Oxford, Alabama, to host a Kiwanis club awards banquet. The chapter president got a rude awakening the night of the gathering, however, when restaurant staff refused to allow her to bring an American flag inside the restaurant.

Warren, who lived through World War II and was later part of her local desegregation movement, said, “This is not my country. This is not my country I grew up with.”

The justly outraged Warren told WBRC-TV, “I was so angry. I felt like I had been slapped in the face”:

That slap came from the Oxford Olive Garden. One hour before the Golden K Kiwanis club‘s awards banquet the restaurant manager told Warren she couldn’t bring in their banner or even an American flag. “I said having known this earlier you can bet we never would have eaten here. And I said if we had time we would have gone to McDonald’s because we know they are American all the way through,” said Warren

In response, Olive Garden’s parent company, Orlando-based Darden Restaurants, said in a statement:

“Like all Americans we have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for the American flag and everything it symbolizes. In fact, we periodically provide American flag collar pins to our employees to wear while serving our guests. We understand and appreciate the way some people have reacted to the situation in Oxford and we’re very sorry if this decision has caused them any concern. The Oxford Olive Garden does not have a private dining area. To be fair to everyone and avoid disrupting the dining experience for all other guests, they’re unable to accommodate flags or banners of any type in the dining room.”

But Warren says that’s not what the restaurant told her:

In fact she says they told her she’d be in banquet room three. And as for being in the way, they were seated in the back by the kitchen. “I resent that. I do resent that. I‘m about truthfulness and that’s not truthful,” said Warren.

While the American flag was not present during the Kiwanis club banquet, Warren urged the group to close their eyes, picture the most “beautiful” American flag and recite the pledge of allegiance.

Warren is not taking things lying down either. She has vowed to boycott Olive Garden along with all other Darden restaurants and has urged others to do the same.

“Word of mouth is powerful and if people find this out and decide not to patronage these places…it will hurt them in their pocket,” said Warren.

It is probably worth noting that just last month, Darden Restaurants agreed to partner with Michelle Obama’s “Partnership for a Healthier America” by cutting the calorie and sodium levels of menu items by 10 percent within the next five years and 20 percent within the next 10 years.

Last time I went to dinner at Olive Garden it cost me something like $18 just to get something other than a pile of poison dough with a sauce on it. Their salads are nothing but iceberg with a few onion curls and olives, with the worst dressing on the planet. Haven’t touched the breadsticks in years…..no, I won’t miss it, though I do like their soups – trust me, they are not on the conservative side of calories either. If they took all of the unhealthy things off their menu there might be 4 things left. I do like Red Lobster for a relaxing lunch now and then, but I can live without either. Now, if Mooch worms her way into Texas Land and Cattle Co., Texas Roadhouse (which isn’t based in Texas btw), or a host of others I’m done with them too.
