Dem Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper Says She Regrets Voting For Obamacare…
I’m sure she does, it cost Dahlkemper her seat in Congress.

Former Democratic congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper, a Catholic from Erie, Pennsylvania, cast a crucial vote in favor of Obamacare in 2010. She lost her seat that November in part because of her controversial support of Obamacare. But Dahlkemper said recently that she would have never voted for the health care bill had she known that the Department of Health and Human Services would require all private insurers, including Catholic charities and hospitals, to provide free coverage of contraception, sterilization procedures, and the “week-after” pill “ella” that can induce early abortions.
“I would have never voted for the final version of the bill if I expected the Obama Administration to force Catholic hospitals and Catholic Colleges and Universities to pay for contraception,” Dahlkemper said in a press release sent out by Democrats for Life in November. “We worked hard to prevent abortion funding in health care and to include clear conscience protections for those with moral objections to abortion and contraceptive devices that cause abortion. I trust that the President will honor the commitment he made to those of us who supported final passage.”

What is sorry is that Obama is driving out all of the centerist people in his party. There should always be moderates in both parties who can discuss and debate in a civilized manner the differences between ideologies. I know that part of Pennsylvania very well–my grandparents live there. It is very conservative outside of Erie, and only the city itself is a haven for Democrats. The rest is solidly Republican.
My grandfather, a man who does not mince words, says that Kathy Dahlkemper is a stupid bitch who just wants to get her job back after voters kicked her ass for voting for Obamacare, the bailouts and all the rest of it. She got her ass kicked also because she was trading solely on her family name–they used to own a chain of jewelery/gift stores that went belly up in the 1980s. Other than that she is just another Democrat moron who dutifully played the anti-Bush sentiment when she first ran.
My personal opinion is that she is a magnificently stupid twunt who is moaning because she took a position and it cost her. This goes beyond an attack on religion because the compulsion and coercion to do something like this will not end here. Enacting “laws” and then passing out waivers to select people or groups whether they be religious groups or union groups or select businesses or themselves and then telling everyone else they have to comply is wrong. If the “law” or the “rule” does not apply equally to everyone then it is in direct violation of civil rights and it is unconstitutional.
I find it beyond insulting that people think they should be exempt because of religious affiliation or government workers or union member. This is an attack on individual freedom and liberty for everyone, so go ahead and be silent, they’ll come for you too soon enough.
