Boxer Says She’s Ready To Do “Battle” With The “Right Wing” Over Obama’s Contraception Mandate…

Settle down, Babs.

Via Floor Action:

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) on Tuesday said she is ready to do battle with the “right wing” in order to uphold the Obama administration’s new rules that could compel religious affiliated employers that oppose contraceptives on moral ground to provide insurance plans that provide contraceptives to their employees.

“We are going to see legislation, I can assure you, to overturn this [rule], and it’s going to be a battle on the floor the Senate, I am afraid,” said Boxer.

“I am not afraid of the fight, I welcome it,” she clarified.

When elected officials choose to go against the will of the people, we used to think they were a rogue government. Now we refer to them as members of Congress-here in the USA.

Now this is a great candidate for a retro abortion.

All kidding aside, it astounds me that this woman, she is a woman correct?, could promote the killing of a child.

    Truly mental illness.

She needs to be removed from office….do her constituents have the guts to send her packing? Free lunches are hard to find in California.

Catholics and Jews have tended to be extremely liberal, and Boxer is no exception to that. Now, both are suddenly complaining, now that they’re reaping the benefits of their liberality. If the catholics wanted any credibility, they’d start mass excommunications, starting with people like Pelosi. I believe Lieberman got excommunicated from his temple, for his un-Godly positions that run counter to Judaism. In my Japanese church, our pastor has made it very clear that he has no trouble in getting rid of people like Pelosis and Boxers and Liebermans. Maybe catholics and Judaism should start being just as serious.

    ———

    Notice the word ‘rule’?

The executive branch doesn’t have the authority to pass a law without the involvement of the legislature. It had to violate the ‘Separation of Powers Doctrine’ in order to violate the first Amendment rights of not only Catholics, but every INDIVIDUAL who believes in self-determination.

When government decides what is Good and Evil, then government has become a religion. (Socialism IS a religion.)

The Pope did meet with Pelosi in 2009. The Vatican made it clear that the Pope was meeting her as a legislator, not as a Catholic.

Here is the Vatican statement, via Catholic News Service:

“Following the General Audience the Holy Father briefly greeted Mrs Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the United States House of Representatives, together with her entourage. His Holiness took the opportunity to speak of the requirements of the natural moral law and the Church’s consistent teaching on the dignity of human life from conception to natural death which enjoin all Catholics, and especially legislators, jurists and those responsible for the common good of society, to work in cooperation with all men and women of good will in creating a just system of laws capable of protecting human life at all stages of its development.”

Note that the Vatican statement uses the word “consistent” to describe its teaching — a reminder of last year’s controversy that erupted when Pelosi suggested that St. Augustine had a different view of when life began than do current church leaders — a suggestion that was disputed by the church’s hierarchy.

So extrapolating from that position and using the “dog whistle” reasoning Babs is calling for street riots and burning cars over this issue, right?

The same applies, I am afraid, when it comes to standing up for the First Amendment.

That’s what this whole attack on the Catholic Church really is — a not-so-veiled attack on the First Amendment, and the Constitution. And Barbara Boxer backs it.

    That should say it all.

Boxer is a racist, the following is from the CDC statistics. Abortion is eliminating minority children in the United States at a staggering rate.

“According to the most recent census data available for race (2000), black women make up 12.3% of the female population in America2, but accounted for 36.4% of all U.S. abortions in 20063 – that according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The Guttmacher Institute (AGI) puts the percentage of black abortions at 30% of the U.S. total4. Their most recent numbers are from 2008. Similarly, AGI tells us that Hispanic women5 accounted for 25% of all U.S. abortions in 20086, though they made up just 12.5% of the female population in 20007. The CDC lists the percentage of Hispanic abortions in 2006 at 20.1%8. Compare those numbers to non-Hispanic, white women, who make up 69% of America’s female population9, but account for only 36% of all U.S. abortions10 (36.1% according to the CDC11).

Abortion is eliminating minority children in the United States at a staggering rate.
Every day in America, an average of 3,315 human beings lose their lives to abortion12. Based on the percentages above, between 666-829 of those babies are Hispanic, between 1,193-1,197 are white, and between 995-1,207 are black. Not only are black children being killed at a far greater percentage than white children, it’s possible they’re being killed in greater numbers, period.”

The Liberal War on the Constitution and Religion

The battle launched by Barack Hussein Obama’s administration’s insistence that Catholic institutions violate their collective consciences and church law on artificial birth control has less to do with contraception than with liberal disdain for America’s Constitution.

The ongoing uproar over contraception simply reinforces the disdain shown when our alleged “constitutional scholar” president arrogantly complained to Matt Lauer that Congress was impeding his insatiable lust for power and autocratic rule by performing checks and balances on the executive branch and by his earlier declaration that he would, unconstitutionally, bypass the legislative branch to accomplish his goals.

The president was recently joined by an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court in his public contempt for the US Constitution.

Arch-liberal Ruth Bader Ginsburg appeared on Egyptian television, praised other national constitutions, but said of ours, “I would not look to the U.S. Constitution if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012.” As a member of SCOTUS, Ginsburg is charged with interpreting that 225 year old document yet doesn’t consider it worthy of emulation.

As a reminder to the constitutional scholar . . .
