Cardinal-Designate Dolan: Obama Regime “Has Drifted Dangerously Beyond Its Constitutional Boundaries”…

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — There was a sharp rebuke Wednesday from Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan that put even more pressure on the president to calm a widening election year uproar. The issue at hand was the president’s insistence that Catholic institutions provide free birth control to their employees.
Dolan came to the South Bronx to bless a library, but he had no blessings — just harsh words — for President Barack Obama, who wants Catholic institutions to pay for birth control, the morning after pill and other services for people who work for them.
“The federal government should do what it’s traditionally done since July 4, 1776, namely back out of intruding into the internal life of a church,” Dolan told CBS 2’s Marcia Kramer.
The leader of the New York Archdiocese picked up support from Speaker John Boehner, who said either Obama reverses the policy or the House will.
“The federal government has drifted dangerously beyond its constitutional boundaries. This attack by the federal government on religious freedom in our country must not stand and will not stand,” Boehner said.
The attacks left the White House foundering. It wants to find some way to calm Catholic opposition, but will not back down on the policy, itself.
“I want to be clear today that the commitment to insuring the women have access to these important health care services remains very strong,” Press Secretary Jay Carney said.

What stuns me how many demonRATS do not get this is not about contraceptions, it is about control, and what the fed govt can force people to do.
I’m not catholic, not pro-life, heck I don’t even agree with the Catholic Church’s stance, but that is their faith, the staunch preservation of life. I don’t agree with them, but I defend their right to practice as they choose, they aren’t forcing me to believe what they believe. They aren’t forcing the elimiation of contraceptions, they aren’t forcing people to work at their instituitions, IT IS AN INDIVIDUAL’s CHOICE!

Could have helped a bunch when the Feds forgot to control our borders – you know, like standing up for American’s property rights in their own country? But then of course you were happy to take welfare money from wealthy WASPs and send it to your parishioners from Mexico to send remittances to their families in Mexico. Every illegal alien who went to an Emergency Room and got free or low cost care meant less money for Americans, who have the birthright to live here.

You are right! but you may be wrong. I’m Catholic to the MAX!!!! Many of our Bishops have been off the reservation for years. 54% of “Catholics” voted for Obummer and so far 52% are still for him. What does that tell you? If you can’t be pro-choice and Catholic then how can you vote for the most pro-abortion presidential candidate that ever ran(Obummer). Well you know the term RINO? Well there are CINO’s too. Indeed almost all of us are sinners, but these people should be described as lost Catholics or fallenaway Catholics. Every practicing Catholic knew in ’08 that voting for Obummer was a mortal sin.(In Catholic teaching a mortal sin is a sin commited willfully and until repentance and confession that sin condemns the soul to HELL). Almost Every Catholic knows it is a mortal sin to not attend Mass each Sunday and only 25 to 30% attend. Do you see my point?………….. Since I’m not a Catholic, can someone tell me why the guy is wearing a pink cap type thing? What does it mean? What doe sit represent? I have never observed that before.
Western countries have been lying about there religious beliefs for many decades. This is due to the fact that many government were structured, based on religious beliefs. For example kings thought they were somehow representatives of god, etc. Science and religion clashed and the christians lost. If governments did not lie about their religious beliefs, governments would fail, people could be put on trial, and big trouble could occur. The truth about religion became classified information for the privileged. What is worse there are a bunch of so called christians out there which are savvy to this classified information. Some people do not like lying, while others are afraid to change or don’t want change. There is controversy and also explicit hostility.
Historically, the Catholic Church has been at the forefront of totalitarianism..
I think that the Catholic Church is a competitor with Marxists for control of the weak minded..

He is an Archbishop, one step shy of Cardinal and nominated to be Cardinal. The cap is part of the outfit and when he is elevated to Cardinal he will wear it under a Cardinals cap. The Cardinals are the princes of the Church and the Popes are elected from their ranks.
Despite his ecclesiastical rank he is wrong. The Kenyan has not drifted off the Constitutional grid, he has aimed for it, revved the engine and driven off it as fast as possible. The Constitution limits his natural genius.

All I know about some Armenians is that many of them ended up in Transylvania whilst fleeing from Muzz Turkish troops. Not sure on all the dates of things but it ends up with Vlad the Impaler (later on became Dracula according to Bram Stoker author) that, as a little boy, was captured & ruined by the Turks. He was of Royal Heritage. Catholic upbringing.

Don’t get too excited about Archbishop Dolan and the rest of them. Most of the clergy were for Obama in 2008 because the Catholic clergy has become infected with Marxism. It became obvious during the 1960s and has gotten worse since. If the Catholic clergy were really observant of church law, they would have publicly excommunicated people like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and Kathleen Sibelius (Catholics in name only) long ago. They have plenty of grounds to do so, but they don’t have the stones. Something like 95% of Catholics use the pill or other unnatural (to Catholic thinking) means of birth control because they’ve been told by priests that it’s really okay, wink.
The purpose of this move by the Obama administration is to take over the Christian churches’ duties to care for the sick and the poor so that the government will have more control over the people. Obama aims to force the Catholic church to sell or close down its hospitals, hospices and other care facilities. It’s already happened with some Catholic adoption agencies that have closed rather than be forced to give children to gay couples. That was the trial run to see what the Church would do. They folded. Obama assumes they will fold again after some posturing.

Good luck finding a judge willing to see it that way. This administration is filled with anti-Constitutionalists– which by the way directly translates as anti-American. And the DOJ of this administration will CERTAINLY offer NO remedy to the offenses by this administration which clearly violate the freedom of religion amendment, by the Obamacare mandates against Catholic teaching, which by the way is MUCH older than theirs, since Marxism only came along relatively recently.

Armenians, alongside Assyrians and Anatolian Greeks/Thracian Greeks, were an impediment to the Young Turks’ vision of a Pan-Turkic Pan-Islamic Empire. They were not killed specifically for the reason you cite. Notably, at its height, the Ottoman Empire was actually more hostile to Catholics, such as the Poles and Austrians, than to Orthodox such as the Russians. Interestingly, the Ottomans had Protestant stooges who did their bidding, such as their vassal princes Imre Thokoly of Upper Hungary (modern-day Slovakia) and Frederick I of Bohemia.

Martin Luther was a fully trained and ordained priest. He was fluent in Latin. He could read the Latin bible from cover to cover. In order to become a priest he had to memorize enormous portions of the bible as well. Martin Luther had to preach, give sermons, write essays and other papers, and teach *from the bible.* Trust me, dude could read Latin just fine *and* he knew that same Latin bible inside and out. The only thing he discovered was a lust for power and rebellion.
