Victoria’s Secret Model Quits Saying It Clashes With Her Christian Beliefs…
Good for her.
(ABC News) — One Victoria’s Secret angel might be turning her back on lingerie modeling but she’s not giving up her wings.
Model Kylie Bisutti, 21, has decided to leave Victoria’s Secret because it clashes with her Christian beliefs.
“My body should only be for my husband and it’s just a sacred thing,” Bisutti told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “I didn’t really want to be that kind of role model for younger girls because I had a lot of younger Christian girls that were looking up to me and then thinking that it was OK for them to walk around and show their bodies in lingerie to guys.”
Bisutti beat out 10,000 hopefuls in 2009 to win the Victoria’s Secret Model Search. She was 19 and recently married at the time.
“Victoria’s Secret was my absolutely biggest goal in life, and it was all I ever wanted career-wise. I actually loved it while I was there, it was so much fun and I had a blast. But the more I was modeling lingerie — and lingerie isn’t clothing — I just started becoming more uncomfortable with it because of my faith,” Bisutti told FOX411. “I’m Christian, and reading the Bible more, I was becoming more convicted about it.”
But wearing the coveted angel wings and walking the runway with Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr wasn’t quite what Bisutti had hoped for.

I read the article I still do not understand. What she cant be a role model because people see her in her underwear. Is she not ever going to the beach. Like I said if she is so concerned about people seeing her legs and stomach (she is not nude) put on on a burka.
I see some people don’t have a clue about what “repentance” means. Its means “change of direction away from evil…turning from sin unto God”. This is exactly what she is doing, she is declaring to the world she is forsaking the lust of the flesh industry.

She’s growing up, maybe its interfering with her marriage and their plans for family. She’s thinking about how her behavior affects the young people in her life who look up to her.

That said, I’m impressed that this woman has the moral strength to leave that position upon realizing that it conflicts with her beliefs and does not want others to follow her example. Kudos also for having the fortitude to give these reasons in public.
Modesty is an important part of Jewish & X-tian beliefs, although it is sadly neglected. For all of you so worried about ‘looking sexy’ and what she’ll wear at the beach– relax, not your problem. One can dress very well modestly, even modify some fashions to remain modest. There are now plenty of options for swimming and other exercise for the modest woman. (OK, expensive, but worth it.)
Modest does not mean “bag.” Modest means caring enough and having enough self-worth and respect to not need or want leering or attention to private areas of the body. No, not everyone gets it or wants to do it. I’m glad she spoke up against the current.

It’s called maturity. She, at 19, bought what our culture sells: that there is nothing wrong with posing in sexually provacative undergarments. There are a great many things that are objectively immoral, but we do them anyway because we buy into the lies our culture is selling.
As a 19 year old girl, she was most likely caught up in the awesomeness of it all, and didn’t stop to think things through, like most teenagers. She bought into the glamor and the ego-trip of beating out 10,000 other women, as well as being labeled a “Victoria Secret model”. But it is quite obvious that as her marriage matures, as her love for her husband grows, and as she began to study her faith more, she recognized that she was contributing to lustful thoughts by posing in garments designed to be sexually exciting to men.
