Report: Obama To Announce “Accommodation” For Religious Organizations On Contraception Mandate..
Which will be a total waste of time because it preserves the mandate.
(ABC News) — With the White House under fire for its new rule requiring employers including religious organizations to offer health insurance that fully covers birth control coverage, ABC News has learned that later today the White House — possibly President Obama himself — will likely announce an attempt to accommodate these religious groups.
The move, based on state models, will almost certainly not satisfy bishops and other religious leaders since it will preserve the goal of women employees having their birth control fully covered by health insurance.
Sources say it will be respectful of religious beliefs but will not back off from that goal, which many religious leaders oppose since birth control is in violation of their religious beliefs.
White House officials have discussed the state law in Hawaii, where religious groups are allowed to opt out of coverage that includes birth control, as long as employees are given information whether such coverage can be obtained. But this accommodation would not go that far.
This announcement would not go that far. Sources say it will involve health insurance companies helping to provide the coverage, since it’s actually cheaper for these companies to offer the coverage than to not do so, because of unwanted pregnancies and resulting complications.

Compromise is unacceptable. Freedom of Religion is absolute, as is the freedom not to buy things. Nothing short of complete reversal of this “law” is acceptable. Sorry, Obama, you’ve proven yourself an enemy of not only the Church, but of the Constitution, as well. You’ll never, ever get this Catholic’s vote again.
He can’t walk it back too far because he knows all those women’s groups and abortion groups will absolutely destroy him — surely he sees how vicious they were against the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure when they dared pull support for Planned Parenthood. Nothing short of a repeal of this particular mandate will suffice for the Catholic Church. Which puts Obama in a real bind. Boy, he sure did step in it. And I think the ‘cure’ will be worse than the cancer. Let’s just hope the outrage sticks for another 8 months or so.

If accommodations are made only for organized groups, won’t the mandate be just as illegal?
Freedom of religion IS AN INDIVIDUAL RIGHT. A person can hold a certain belief without participating in any named interest group. There are no ‘classes’ which merit special protection in this case. It is NOT the Catholic church who’s rights are being trampled. It is the rights of the hundreds of thousands of individual Catholics which are being abused. This mandate presents the same violation of first amendment rights for every person, not just Catholics.
The entire mandate must be scrapped! Government cannot hold one citizen to a different standard than any other.

While his college transcripts and such are locked away from public scrutiny, the last three+ years cannot be denied. And in over 230 years the citizens of this nation have held onto THAT right, and all others, by the ability to defend them. You know Obama, through Holder, will not sit for this and there will be the DOJ taking basically the Catholic Church to court through these groups. However, recall the states that had on their election ballots issues that dealt with forbidding Sharia law from being established within their own states … and the DOJ took them to court. And as I have mentioned before, Muslims are one religious group that has been given a waiver from the ObamaCare mandate forcing people to purchase healthcare insurance. And as we have seen predominately for the last 3 years Muslims have been given EVERY accommodation in accordance with their religion from everything from ‘hands-off’ at the TSA screenings at the airports, to foot baths, to violating business uniform codes, to lawsuits to organizations/businesses/even schools for NOT abiding by their Muslim employee’s Islamic needs on the premises to time off from work to travel to Mecca.
The Roman Catholic Church has had these convictions for the life of the religion. Individual Catholics have made personal choices to follow these guidelines (and not under fear of hangings/stonings/beheadings). The worst that would have happened was refusal to grant you the Sacraments, especially Communion, inside the Church. You could come and continue to worship, but you just couldn’t receive these gifts. And most people (women, actually) have for generations practiced birth control and even the extreme of abortion. It is their own personal decision(s), and theirs alone to deal with within their own souls.
BTW, I keep hearing how 75-80% of Catholic women want this provision/mandate because they agree with contraception. Well, I believe in contraception too. But the Catholic Church is NOT a “democracy”. The higher mandate, we believe, comes down from the Almighty through The Pope. The laws are given, the degree of offense is laid out in the description of ‘sins’ and you are on your own with your God-given free will to make your decision because you are accountable to yourself and God.
This is about control. And the only way to gain control is to bust down and abolish the mandates of faith and devotion so that you are only accountable to the state. Recall Henry VIII forced a change from the Roman Catholic Church in order to make his own laws to suit and sustain his insatiable immorality. This was after trying to strong arm the Church into doing things his way. Then he just shoved them aside and even made them cause for ridicule from those days on in England.
No matter what Obama says on this mandate issue he will lie. This was brought in by the HHS Sec., and throughout the 3000 page ObamaCare document it is stated she can and will do whatever SHE wants to amend and add to the government’s plan/control. Under the HHS Secretary the ObamaCare law is a ‘living document’ that continues to evolve and grow and grow into an all consuming monster.

Last night I happened to catch two back to back programs on CSPAN 2.
The first was at the National Press Club with pro-contraception student groups from Catholic universities basically cheering Obama on this mandate. They even insisted that by paying over $50K/year to attend the universities the institutions OWED them FREE contraception in whatever/any form. One of the Kennedy broads was there too (47 mics):

Obama lied, religious freedom died. He will not change, any Catholic, or person of ANY faith in this country who votes for him again is dooming our nation. If he gets back in, he will double-down on all of his anti-religion sentiments. This isn’t the first time he has attacked religion, first they tried to tell churches who they could and could not hire and fire. Now we have this ObamaCare mandate, and he tried to stop Catholic military chaplains from spreading the word of the Archbishop. What’s next, just wait a few days they will attack again.
