ABC News: “Top GOP Senator” Freaks Out, Says If Romney Loses Michigan He Will Push Party To Look For a New Candidate…

And who does this mystery Senator have in mind? — Jeb Bush.
Top GOP Senator Says ‘If Romney Loses Michigan, We Need a New Candidate’ — ABC News
A prominent Republican senator just told me that if Romney can’t win in Michigan, the Republican Party needs to go back to the drawing board and convince somebody new to get into the race.
“If Romney cannot win Michigan, we need a new candidate,” said the senator, who has not endorsed anyone and requested anonymity.
The senator believes Romney will ultimately win in Michigan but says he will publicly call for the party to find a new candidate if he does not.
“We’d get killed,” the senator said if Romney manages to win the nomination after he failed to win the state in which he grew up.
“He’d be too damaged,” he said. “If he can’t even win in Michigan, where his family is from, where he grew up.”
What about Rick Santorum?
“He’d lose 35 states,” the senator said, predicting the same fate for Newt Gingrich.
It would have to be somebody else, the senator said. Who?
“Jeb Bush,” the former Florida governor.
Who do you guys think said this? — McRINO? — Lindsey Graham?

Do you get the feeling that there is someone else running our government?
LOL Rinomney/Graham 2525
The “only” reason he would lose Michigan is because he is too conservative.
Hahaha!
Santorum is a dweeb.
Does anyone really care what the Republican establishment, who bought us McRino in 2009 and Bob “we owed him the nomination” Dole has to say about this? Do they get paid for putting up lame candidates?
draft Allen West!
We need to clean out all the Republican Elites, they have they heads up their butts, they let the one who could have taken out Obama out easy and stopped them using the race card once and all, it sure is funny how all Cain’s women’s problems have went away since he is not a threat anymore to Obama and the Republican Elites.
The fish stinks from the head down, now we have another mc’rino running where he would have been gone without all the money he has to trash people.
I live in Michigan. The primaries here are a joke.
One year, the democratic primaries picked George Wallace. Another year, Jesse Jackson.
Now that the Santorum is under intense scrutiny, he will be torn to shreds.
I know some of you eat, sleep and shit conservative social values. Most of the country just wants the economy fixed and those are the people you are going to have to please to win.
Santorum isn’t the guy to fix the economy.
I will be voting for Romney unless Mitch Daniels decides he wants in.
Hey, how about a Allen West/Allen West Ticket? Double beats the clown and spineless puppet in the WH now..
Right, like people are clamoring for another open-borders Bush in he White House, only Jeb is worse that GW.
Then again, this is based on ABC, another liberal station.. Another attack on the Republicans, just to take the heat off Barry, whom hasn’t stopped campaigning?..
i’ll run,i like the sound of me president 7777777
i will promise a chicken in every pot,but theirs a problem Michell Obama has all; the chickens that went home to roost and i have the pots..
“Who do you guys think said this? – McRINO? – Lindsey Graham?”
Mitch McConnell
It’s a disaster. Both Santorum and Romney will lose if they’re the candidate. With Santorum the election will be more focused on social policy instead of the economy. Romney does not excite the base enough to beat Obama. It’s that simple.
Republicans either need to get behind Newt or find someone new immediately.
It’s some kind of curse. The people we want to run won’t run. The people running have way too many issues or just don’t feel right. The Republicans seem determined Obama win a second term. I can’t help but feel the deck is stacked, the decisions have already been made and we are all just innocent onlookers at some slow-motion horror show.
My guess is the person saying all of that is Mitch McConnell.
Santorum would never win against Obama, no way. His social politics will be held against him. Plus not everyone even knows who he is. LOL
Newt has way to much baggage and has proven he cannot be trusted. He is a loose cannon.
Romney is the only one left in the race that has experience to get our economy restored, has the class that is presidential, is slowly coming around to being more conservative instead of like the others going the opposite direction of being liberal.
People had a chance to support a true conservative Rick Perry with a GREAT record of success as a leader and knew how to get the economy moving in a positive direction. Instead the so called conservatives decided to waste time with Cain and his ad lingo speak, screaching Bachmann and her lies, and anyone but Perry.
Sad. This is what comes from so many divisions within the party. I personally am so sick of the word conservative. Conservative, conservative, conservative. Dopes, no ultra conservative can win. You guys need to be hit with a brick. But when you think back to the witch in Delaware, Sharon Engel in Nevada, Buck in Colorado, and the fourth one whose name is not memorable, why do conservatives think they can pick them. Oh, wait…sent a bunch of newbies aka conservatives to the House and still didn’t get anything done. Its probably because chirping Sarah didn’t run. Father Santorum and his exhausted looking wife can’t win because he is a religious extremist. Pig Newton is the candidate for the galaxy and the winner Mitt cannot win because of you dunderheads. First time not voting unless everyone comes to their senses. LOL
Utterly stupid.
No more RINOs.
No more Bushies.
No brokered convention.
These will keep Comrade Barry Hussein in power.
Santorum will win.
somebody needs to name names here

That part, I agree with. The “movement” to claim “Conservative” for whoever’s self has done a great deal of harms to the nation while aiding and abetting the Left’s ongoing takeover powergrab (they’re united while ‘we’ are not).
People need to stop trying to make claim to the term, word, “position” and especially stop trying to destroy every candidate who comes along. Disagree with them, expose about them their records or parts of that that you disagree with and explain why, but stop maligning everyone who differs by calling them hell’s-spawn, to summarize the denunciations and denigrations that are ongoing.
Be conservative, work on maintaining being conservative, support conservative causes, groups, beliefs, reward conservatives, all that but stop denouncing the GOP and Republicans with a variety of perspectives on issues as being the worst you can think of. It’s the Left who is the worst, not us. Meanwhile, while the arguments continue about “hey, I”m the Conservative, you’re not a Conservative” the Left wins elections — I get the impression that many “Conservatives” really want to win that battle but they are oblivious to winning the war.
Oh hell no…I have had enuf of Bushes and Clintons over the last 25 years. Since when should a republic be governered by two families
Since they used the pronoun “he”, I assume they’re talking about Olympia Snowe.

“The fish stinks from the head down, now we have another mc’rino running where he would have been gone without all the money he has to trash people.”
I’ll agree with the stinking fish but we have what we have.
If you are referring to Romney’s attack ads, what do you think will be happening in the real campaign? In my view, Romney is the ONLY GOP candidate remaining with the hands on problem solving skills needed to fix what’s wrong with this country. Senators do not have executive experience period. McRino is a perfect example of that. Jeb might be a popular choice but who is ready for yet another Bush? Oh, and Santorum is another senator, eh?
If the GOP is to be successful in November, they need the nastiest, most cunning, most organized and focused candidate possible and like it or not, that’s Romney. If he does not get the nomination, well just be ready to endure four more years of O’bammy and the worst case scenario would include the return of princess Nancy…
UGH!
No Jeb! He lived and taught in Mexico, married a Mexican woman who attempted to illegaly bring in 10k unreported goods from Europe, had a seriously drug-damaged daughter – No mor Bushes! No to Santorum. His family lined up look like the Adams family and he is not a convincing executive looking type against world powers with his ‘winning’ whining looks. Romney’s toast. Back to a conservative that ‘we the people’ will demand that (s)he’s not in the tank for the establishment. Come on Tea Party. You’re doing great behind-the-scenes preparation to clean house. It’s nice to see that you’re also moving into the local arena (Tampa city gov). Thanks.
Drudge is at it again. He just makes me hate Romney even more.
A new candidate? Who? Maybe Sean Stone, son of the well-known film-maker who this week announced that . . . he has become a Muslim. Where? In Iran! http://durotrigan.blogspot.com/2012/02/sean-stone-irans-latest-propaganda.html
Judith:
Fuck you!
Don’t come on here and act you are the boss.
We have been fighting with this shit for 4 years.
Romneycare will not win either.
Just because the Establishment and the RINO Coulter say he WILL be the nominee or else means they don’t want the presidency either.
I don’t want Daniels, nor Romney. But i recognize that we’re being herded by the MSM. This has got to stop. They have destroyed every last one of our candidates.
MsM needs to be destroyed. or seriously maimed.
How many RED FLAGS can you count in this report?
(1) A “prominent” Republican Senator (McCain?) who is
(2) Phsycic
(3) Anonymous? (Al Franken?)
(4) Report is from ABC (All Barrack Channel)
CREDIBILITY RATING = ZERO
PROPAGANDA RATING = 100%
We have a new winner of the coveted PINNOCHIO AWARD!
I guess I don’t really understand how this primary voting thing works. Can they just do that? Can they just throw out the votes if a guy they don’t want is winning, and stick someone else in there instead? If that’s the case, why do we have primaries at all? Why doesn’t the Republican party just announce that Romney is their candidate?
I’m seriously asking. I’m beginning to think my high school civics class left out some crucial information.
Unfortunately, it could probably have been any of over a dozen Senators that made those remarks.
First one that came to mind was McCain, though.
So essentially the establishment is saying, “If you don’t vote for our chosen big government loving candidate that we’ve been grooming for POTUS, we’re changing the rules to get him anyway.” Fuck them. I’m not crazy about any of these candidates left either but I’ll be damned if I’m going to go along quietly while some elitists who think they can run McCain 2 and win while fiscal cons get shit on yet again. Damn them.
The country would NEVER go for a third Bush.
I guess the “top GOP Senator” is scared we won’t go for their chosen candidate.
I’d be willing to bet the establishment is probably hoping Romney will lose Michigan so they can try to justify another Bush candidate.
Palin/West 2012
That Senator is not in charge. The people are.
If it’s McCain, he has ZERO credibility and his prognostication skills are pathetic.
In 2008, he said we had “no reason to be scared” of Obama as president.
In 2011, he called Al-Qaeda his “heroes” in Libya.
I hope it was McCain because if he said neither Santorum nor Gingrich could win, it means either one would.

@Fukitol
Of course, the economy is a top rung issue, but the Constitution was written for a virtuous people, so, yes, social issues matter.
Romney : The guy who couldn’t beat McCain!
Let me say that again:
Romney : The guy who couldn’t beat McCain!
Romney : The guy who couldn’t beat McCain!
Romney : The guy who couldn’t beat McCain!
Romney : The guy who couldn’t beat McCain!
Romney : The guy who couldn’t beat McCain!
@ Wild Thing:
“Santorum would never win against Obama, no way. His social politics will be held against him.”
Funny, sucking the brains out of unborn babies is a social issue, right?
Is MANDATED HEALTHCARE a social issue?
Is mandated payments for contaception and abortion a social issue?
On each of these issues, the MAJORITY of the US voters are on the “conservative” side. So you believe the elite, liberal media then huh??
And we’re concerned about ABC reports because?…..
I still believe that the RNC does not want to defeat Obama.
They don’t want to set a precedent for a one-term President. They don’t want the same thing to happen to their next President.
And the country is in such bad shape, that they would rather have Obama in office to blame for the coming economic and international disasters.
I think they would rather have a Republican Majority in both houses of Congress and have Obama as POTUS.
David Brooks, David Frum(with a name like that…), Scott Brown, and Lindsey please run. If Lindsey can capture S Carolina we could have the other 49 states in play.
Thin Lin could run and win right?
Newt is not the candidate you are looking for….
Newt Gingrich won in South Carolina, and jumped to the top of the polls based on his attacks on the mainstream media and his fellow Republicans.
He might well be the Republican nominee if this trend continues.
And if he is the chosen as the nominee, we will certainly lose to Barack Obama.
Why?
Here is a short quote from his South Carolina victory speech:
“One of the key issues is the growing anti-religious bigotry of our elites, and if you go to newt.org, my campaign site there’s a 54-page paper there on the balance of power”
Really?? A 54- page paper?!?! Golly, Newt!!
The vast majority of Americans don’t even know basic civics facts like the name of their Congressmen. Most Americans have never visited any political website, never mind studying the issues and poring through policy papers. The sad fact is most people get their information from headlines, snippets, and soundbites.
Newt’s big inspirational victory message is ‘go read my policy paper’.
This is the message of a policy wonk, not a real leader.
Jefferson: “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance”
Roosevelt: “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself”
Reagan: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!
Newt: “Download my 54-page policy paper!”
People would be more likely to go read it if he said ‘I have a 54 word policy paper’.
Newt should have said:
One of the defining issues of this election is the growing anti-religious bigotry in this country. We have the media and the judiciary relentlessly attacking religious freedom in this country. As an example, we have a judge in Texas threatening to throw people in jail if they pray, or even take a moment of silence during a graduation ceremony. This has got to stop. As your President, I will restore the balance of power that the Constitution intended, and protect your fundamental rights from over jealous judges.
This is the kind of ‘get the government off my back’ message that will appeal to Americans.
This streak of wonkish-ness will sink him in the general election. You cannot communicate with the average voter through policy papers.
54-page policy papers are like a Star Trek costume. You might have one, and it might appeal to a small group of nerds. But no, you don’t talk about them in public.

Draft Palin now. The establishment-entrenched- old- guard-appease-the-Leftists have been pushing Jeb Bush from the beginning…they’d rather lose to Obama than nominate a true constititutional Conservative like Palin, who would challenge their cushy status quo. Conservatives are the majority so the hell w/ the establishment RINOs. Only Sarah can rally the crowds to come out & vote & not only defeat Obama but carry the House & Senatte if her name leads the ticket.
I’m as guilty as anyone of seeing the people who aren’t running as just what we need right now. But imagine that Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, Cain, Bachmann, McCotter etc. weren’t ever running. All of their baggage hadn’t been dragged through the mud for months.
Instead we had Christie, Daniels, Ryan, Palin, Rubio, Jeb, etc. All of THEIR baggage has now been dragged through the mud. All of their inevitable debate missteps are fresh in everyone’s mind. I guarantee we’d be pining away for Santorum or Romney to come save us and touting all of their accomplishments and conservative bonafides.
Having said all that: Daniels or Ryan/Rubio, West, or McCotter 2012!!!
It’s amusing how many people say that the ‘establishment’ is bad at picking candidates- pointing to Bob Dole and McCain as examples- but yet they ignore establishment candidates George Bush (2 for 2), George HW Bush (1 for 2), Nixon (2 for 3), Eisenhower (2 for 2), Goldwater (0 for 1), etc.
In fact, I don’t think McCain as ‘establishment’ as many pretend he was- in 2000, he was the ‘unestablishment choice’, just like in 2008 Mitt Romney was the unestablishment conservative choice.
Drop the whole ‘establishment candidates lose’ meme- it’s false. You’re conservatives, don’t peddle crap, that’s what liberals do.

I just don’t understand why those in the Republican Party aren’t worried about what is coming down the pike.
Obama’s lawlessness has gotten out of control with no one to stop him.
And yet the Republicans think this is just another election.
I am just so upset right now – my heart is pounding.
Boehner giving into Obama on a constant basis. Same with the Senate GOP.
I’m terrified what Obama has in store for us.
We haven’t seen anything yet.
9:03:
McShame not Establishment?
Please!
He thinks Obama is a patriot.
He thinks Tea Partiers are the enemy.
He is my enemy!
I’m guessing Richard Lugar, but there’s a lot of possibiles, and that makes me sad. I’m in agreement with previous posts stating that Republican elites would concede the White House in favor of controlling the Senate and House. They will screw us conservatives without remorse.
Guys, guys, guys.
You all are smarter than that.
It is ABO.
Anyone but Obama.
If we do not elect the person who will bring us back to our core Constitutional principles, then America is lost.
In fact, the level of Obama’s destruction has been so vast, that we are not even assured that America can be fixed even with a conservative President, senate and house.
Of all the candidates running thus far, my personal preference is Santorum because he is the most conservative.
For those of you who are ‘thumbs down’ on him, please do not cast your votes based on personality. Cast them based on whether your principles are most closely aligned with the candidate. People in general are too swayed by a candidate’s style and manner vs. his/her principles.
McCain would never get behind a Bush
@ Sickofobama…
We are facing worldwide economic collapse. It will only take one trigger, and the world’s economy crumbles.
OUR economy is NOT improving, and after the election, we will be told the truth about how bad it really is. 16-17 TRILLION dollar debt, and the payments to sustain it, is going to kill us.
The “Arab Spring” has just begun to show it’s true colors. It is only going to go more “radical, extreme, jihadist, Islamist”.
There is war coming in the Mid East. That is a fact.
The Mexican invasion is worsening.
If I were the RNC, I might WANT Obama at the helm if we have a Republican Congress.
Same idiots that wanted McCain…. Not only beat Obama, but to elect a person that the GOP establishment did not want and said could not win would be awesome.
The Democrats are probably responsible for Romney’s demise and both Gingrich and Santorum’s recent success.
Perhaps if the liberal media was so vicious and dishonest and if liberals themselves weren’t so completely insane and dangerous we would have better people to select from. I imagine Palin stayed out because liberals threatened the safety of her family and herself.
To summarize, the GOP gots nuttin.
West/Rubio…..what a dream
I don’t understand how people fawn over west and Rubio- what the hell have they done yet other then be minorities in our party? Don’t get me wrong I like them both, especially west, but too push them to soon when they have NO experience in governing would be a mistake.
I’ll stick with the woman who has a 20 year record of fighting corruption, shrinking government and is an all-around badass.
Draft Palin!
Its actually possible the left would react in lethal violence if Palin was nominated. Since obama grifted into the presidency, the left has become unhinged and allowed to riot in the streets with obama, pelosi &co blessings. Once they are permitted to push that envelope, they never retreat.
Too bad police weren’t allowed to shoot and kill at least half of the ows savages.
Is there any actual GOP left?
At this point we face an insurmountable financial holocaust.Neither side even attempts to find a solution, they just keep spending, filling their pockets and being pop entertainment to distract from the real issues.
Our country, education ,employment and living standards continue to decline,Obama is nothing more than a greedy criminal and no action is taken against him except mud slinging.
And this is what represents us…….
Grover Norquist is known as an antitax lobbyist,an NRA board member and a paid lobbyist for U.S. Muslim Brotherhood .Prior to 9/11, he was financed by the General Masul Alamoudi of al-Qaida.
A July 14, 2005, U.S. Treasury Department press release stated: “According to information available to the U.S. government, the September 2003 arrest of Alamoudi was a severe blow to al-Qaida, as Alamoudi had a close relationship with al-Qaida and had raised money for al-Qaida in the United States.”
Alamoudi was laundering Saudi cash for al-Qaida and making statements in support of terrorists, and at the same time financing Norquist.
Norquist’s old lobbying firm, Janus-Merritt, was a registered agent for Alamoudi, and received over $40,000 from that client. (Norquist and his Muslim partner at the firm also represented the Pakistani government on military aid.) In addition, Alamoudi gave Norquist at least $20,000 in money to start a Republican front for the Brotherhood called the Islamic Free Market Institute, which was run by Alamoudi.
Their main agenda was to eliminate the Justice Department’s use of undisclosed evidence in deportation cases against Arabs suspected of terrorism. On the eve of 9/11, Norquist went to the Hill and lobbied to “get rid of the secret evidence laws which have been used to discriminate against Muslims and Arabs in this country.” After 9/11, he and his Islamic Institute lobbied against the Patriot Act.
Alamoudi sponsored Suhail Khan- the eldest son of one of the founding fathers of the Brotherhood in America. Norquist got Khan into the Bush White House as a representative for Muslims, whereupon he got al-Arian and other senior Brotherhood figures in.
With Norquist’s sponsorship, Khan has been able to infiltrate the American Conservative Union and he’s teamed up with Imam Mohamed Magid, Obama’s Muslim outreach partner, to do interfaith outreach with evangelical Christian leaders in the South.
Norquist’s specialty is to dress up Brotherhood agents as patriotic conservatives in order to gain the trust of the GOP establishment. Then with the backing of party leaders secured, he promotes these neo-Islamists to positions of power inside government.
Imad “David” Ramadan is running for the Virginia state legislature with support from Norquist.Last year, Ramadan signed an open letter to Republicans in support of the Ground Zero mosque. He signed it with Khan and Norquist’s wife, who is a Palestinian Muslim.
Ramadan, who’s a Lebanese immigrant who says he’s involved in various “consulting” businesses in the Middle East. He also processes U.S. visas and green cards for Muslim immigrants. But the source of his wealth is unknown. He’s given large sums of cash to GOP officials as well as to his own campaign, even after declaring bankruptcy.

Get out your history book and look up “Trail of Tears” and other assaults and treaty violations with the native Americans. Let me know where you find virtue in any of that.
It’s not the federal govt’s job to dictate or enforce social agendas. You don’t like it when the liberals inflict their bullshit on the masses and they don’t like when the conservatives pull the same shit. People do not want to be told what to do or how to behave by people they hate and that goes both ways.
Again, the economy makes everything we value possible. Nothing else even comes close to that in importance. Romney is the best equipped to fix it.

After many posts and many thousands of comments on the primary, there’s not much new information being added about any of our choices. Unless the Sweet Meteor of Death shows up soon, we really are going to have to nominate one of these guys to go head-to-head with the SCOAMF in November.
As flawed as all our guys are, though, at least they appear to take our financial situation seriously, unlike the current occupant of the White House (via Mark Steyn at NRO).
And here was the exchange between Geithner and Ryan, after Ryan pointed the terrifying baseline (in red):
GEITHNER: You could have taken [the chart] out [to the year] 3000 or to 4000. [Laughs]
RYAN: Yeah, right. We cut it off at the end of the century because the economy, according to the CBO, shuts down in 2027 on this path. (emphasis added)
Obama submitted a budget that bankrupts us, his Treasury Secretary laughs it off, and I’m supposed to give a crap about their ginned-up election year bogeymen of income inequality or contraception? Please.
None of our candidates are perfect. Far from it. But that’s not an attainable goal, and we really need to get back on target.
And for God’s sakes, let’s quit freaking out about every little thing that might theoretically scare off mush middle voters.
Mitt likes firing people and making them poor so he has more people to not be concerned about. Santorum’s going to issue an executive order banning the pill and non-procreative sex. Newt is going to form a swingers’ club on the moon. We get it. The MFM is going to run these guys down to get their boyfriend reelected, no matter what. Let’s stop helping them.
As Milton Friedman said, “It’s nice to elect the right people, but that isn’t the way you solve things. The way you solve things is by making it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing.”
We’re going to elect the wrong person. We always were – they’re politicians, after all. Let’s devote more energy to nudging them all in the right direction and less to tearing them down over stupid stuff.
His campaign contributors include a long list of Muslim groups, a $5,000 from something called the Virginia Muslim PAC. Its president is Mukit Hossain who runs a charitable organization in Herndon, Va., called FAITH. Wachovia bank closed FAITH’s accounts due to suspicious activity related to money-laundering. A year earlier, the charity received a $150,000 donation from Brotherhood leader M. Yacub Mirza. According to a federal affidavit (unsealed Oct 2003) for a search warrant of Mirza’s Herndon, Va., residence and offices, Mirza is president of SAAR Foundation, a suspected charitable front for al-Qaida founded by Saudi billionaire Sulaiman Abdul Aziz Al-Rajhi (S.A.A.R.), one of the original Golden Chain sponsors of bin Laden.
According to page 53 of the affidavit, written by special agent David C. Kane: “I believe that one source of funds flowing through (Mirza’s offices) is from the wealthy Al-Rajhi family in Saudi Arabia.” He cites one transaction of $3,388,000, along with others in the millions. The affidavit says Mirza has “signatory authority” over the bank accounts. SAAR had an active account with Wachovia before closing it within weeks of the 9/11 attacks. Some checks also were drawn on a bank account in the name of Al-Rajhi Banking and Investment Corp., Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Hossain serves on the board of a mosque run by imam Magid, the ISNA chief working with Khan and Obama. This Ramadan donor is also active in the Muslim American Society, which prosecutors say is a key node in the US Muslim Brotherhood’s network.
Another Muslim listed as a donor to Ramadan’s campaign is Norquist protege Ali Tulbah, who replaced Khan at the White House when Khan landed a high-level spot at the Transportation Department. Tulbah’s father runs a Brotherhood mosque in Houston.
Exactly, Halodoc!
… Gotta say that:
(1) Judith, I appreciate your intelligent and well-presented thoughts; and
(2) Sickofobama, that was harsh… saying “fuck you” to her, and “she’s coming here and acting like the boss.” I didn’t get that at all. She was just stating her thoughts, and did so in an appropriate and respectful manner.
No one here truly believes Santorum can beat Sotero straight up. If it takes a RINO to beat the Usurper and we know this as fact then this bitching is only a venting exercise.
Rufus is right.
At this point in time, nominating another Bush would be the same as giving Obama the election and they know it…so you would have to think that’s exactly what they meant to do.
I believe we have two parties within the GOP now, the RINOS/establishment like McCain & Graham who are actually working with the progressives vs. the actual conservatives. The media, of course, is working with the RINO faction to constantly tell us who is “unelectable.” Don’t listen to it. Do your own homework on the candidates and the context their quotes have come from.
Also, never forget that Soros took Santorum quite seriously when no one else did. Do you think there is not a reason for that?

Go back to Kos. You’ve got nothing to add to this discussion.
Lugar?
Obama or Romney; either one is fine with me. Just look at ObamaCare and RomneyCare for proof.

Santorum isn’t the guy to fix the economy.
I will be voting for Romney unless Mitch Daniels decides he wants in.

Between your trolling comments and this completely ignorant comment, you being in Michigan surprises noone.
Romney is better than Santorum?? ROFL
Yeah, better at imitating Obama. And we see how well Obama has fixed the economy.
Mitt may be “equipped” to fix the economy, but anyone that HAS pulled out their history book knows that RINOs tend not to do much of anything for it. It takes a pretty thick skulled person to think Romney is going to magically change into something other than a RINO when in office of POTUS.

And Im SO sick of seeing these ignorant, one sided braindead “I have no idea what Im talking about” comments.
There isnt one thing you said there Mike that is factual, accurate, truthful or makes ANY sense. Santorum can and will beat the pants off Obama, just like Reagan did Carter. Same exact scenario.
Ill say it again: poll after poll after poll shows ANY republican will defeat Obama in the general election. A TRUE conservative will CRUSH Obama. How anyone can be so STUPID to think a RINO is going to beat Obama, is mindboggling.
How did McCain do against Obama?
How did Romney do in 08? (He couldnt even beat McCain!)
How did Bob Dole do against Clinton?
Bush ALMOST lost in both his elections, especially the 2000 one against Gore.
But yeah, keep bashing Santorum and pushing those RINOs, dumbasses. Which Im thinking is the plan anyway. Alot of comments in here are by trolls and plants.
I have no doubts Santorum will cause us to lose, & in congressional elections as well.
Santorum is a political lightweight and Romney is a RINO Washington Insider. Neither of these candidates can beat Obama.
I would suggest people use their heads and think strategically, instead of jumping behind the candidate they “LIKE”.
Strategically, Newt knows Washington, he has already fixed an economy once before, he knows where all the skeletons can be hidden, he has legislative experience, he can hit the ground running without wasting time on a huge learning curve, and Newt has the stones to go against the Republican elite.
Many Conservatives are running from Gingrich to jump on the Saantorum bandwagon. Why? Because he is the flavor of the week? Because the media and Republican elites tell you to?
Obama wants Romney and then Santorum. He is terrified of Gingrich. Why are Conservatives supporting the candidate the opposition wants?
We Need Allen West.
No more Bushes.
Is Santorum getting a boost because Catholics are so angry with the latest Obamacare edict and decided to vote for a Catholic candidate?
I doubt it was McCain who said this. He’s usually several several steps behind anything not relating to war strategy. Graham also seems too gutless to even say this “off the record.”
As for Jeb? No. Look, seems like a nice enough guy and a good governor (something I’d prefer to a legislator running for an executive position), but I still think the Bush brand is too tarnished. Bush 43 certainly looks better today than when he left (which means he’s probably the only guy genuinely glad that Obama is in office
), but I think it would be bad to put up another legacy candidate – one that will rile up the opposition, for sure.
Operation “hilarity” from KOS and DemUnderGrnd
Vote for SANTORUM (cuz there are “open” primaries” in those States)
The KOS says it is only “”fair”" becuz of Operation Chaos.
McCain was selected by the DEMS in ’08.
OPEN Primaries are dangerous.
I agree totally with Fukitol.
NOT Santorum.
Romney 2012.
Social Conservatives can alienate ppl.
Besides, Santorum has upset the Military.
Did you know that???
As for Sharron Angle …
Look it up.
They had Sue Lowden (R)
But the TP ran Angle opposite Harry Reid.
The problem??? Angle is Scientology AND she said (and meant it)
That NO ABORTION >>>>>>>
Even if Rape or Incest.
Spit!!
Angle went too far!!!!!
Romney 2012!!!!!!!!!!
I’m backing the God/Son of God ticket. All others will drag you to hell.
Yes, I have given up on Man as my ruler.
Jeb Bush did a great job governing Florida. I lived there all eight years he was the governor and he had Florida running on budget and low taxes. HE IS THE ONE WHO SHOULD HAVE BEEN POTUS, he’s 100 times smarter than W. and may never have the chance for greatness that he deserves. I’d vote for Jeb for POTUS in a heartbeat because he IS a true conservative. His daughter was arrested for drugs and he let her sit in jail and whe she violated her probation, he made sure she did jail time just like anyone else. I’m sure that as a parent, it killed him to do it, but it was the right thing to do and he did it. I respect him for that, and I support him for POTUS.
