this is where Sharpton departs from a presumed faith of Christ –I don’t know if he claims Christ or not.. he calls himself reverend for his own reasons–
but pointing a crooked and corrupt accusatory finger at a professed Christian and condemning him from his lofty high throne [where he does not belong] is egregious.
Sharpton is a cheap punk. Much [much] to his chagrin, God has not appointed him to judge Graham’s, or anyone else’s profession of the faith which is in Christ -alone.
This is good in that one sense, that is, anyone actually interested in substance of this whole evil commentary should be able to something here.
Even in light of Obama’s machinations: a Christian falling to his knees daily in prayer and so on.. neither Santorum nor Graham would broach the throne of grace to condemn Obama’s apparently false profession of faith in Christ.
Graham and Santorum acted and spoke honorably in the situation. Sharpton does not. Sharpton presumes to ascend to the height, usurping the judgement of the God upon Whom he presumes be the arbiter of another man’s profession of Christ.

I don’t know what Al is trying to say when he says real Christians help people, their works speak for themselves. Franklin Graham has been involved with Samaritan’s Purse since 1973, which has helped more people than Al Sharpton could ever think of helping.
We’re supposed to pray for our enemies – God knows Christians have plenty of them – means we’re doing something right – stay strong.

There is no such thing as a “Christian” or an observant Jew. There is no doubt that anyone that says they are, aren’t. If someone says they are a Christian it is only because they don’t fully understand what is required. In order for God to maintain His justice one has to be 100% obedient their entire life. No human has ever been or ever will be capable of meeting that standard which is why God had to clothe Himself in a vessel of flesh in order to provide an out so that some of us might be acceptable to fellowship with Him forever more.
Those who aren’t against the Lord, those who assemble in His name providing witness of their openness to Him, and those who are used of God to help others may be called Christian by the rest of us but in truth there is only humans and the Christ. Us humans want to think we are somebody special but the truth is that we are all just a bunch of humans and before God we are all fallen short.
Though God may deign to use some of us to do the good works that He has created for us to walk in, it does not mean that we are anything special. God alone is worthy and He alone is to be worshiped, honored, glorified, and praised, not us or any other human. His vessel of flesh will return soon and there is no human that can stand against His rule and there will be no human who will stand in the face of His wrath unless God allows it. The book is clear, to those who with an open mind truly seek understanding, when we stand before the throne of judgment none can truthfully say we have not been provided with the opportunity to know.

The issue for Rick Santorum and Al Sharpton both is passing judgement on Obama and Graham. While I will agree that Obama, and Sharpton back policy that Christians following Christ’s revelation and the Word will have difficulty with, it is not for me to determine whether their faith is genuine or not. I am a sinner just like Obama and Sharpton or any else. The only difference between the redeemed and the unredeemed is the action of Christ being applied to the redeemed by God’s choice, not mine.
I would caution both Santorum and Sharpton to not put words of judgement into the mouth of God. He takes a dim view of those that misspeak on His behalf.
