With gas prices rising to record levels, President Obama went on the offensive Thursday, chastising Republicans for promising to lower pump prices they can’t control and blaming the current price surge on the continuing unrest in the Middle East.
“It’s the easiest thing in the world to make phony election-year promises about lower gas prices,” Obama said during a visit to the battleground state of Florida. “What’s harder is to make a serious, sustained commitment to tackle a problem that may not be solved in one year or one term or even one decade.”
To gain energy independence, the country must adopt a strategy “that develops every available source of American energy — oil, gas, wind, solar, nuclear, biofuels,” said Obama, who announced $44 billion in funding for natural gas and biofuels research.

With every passing week, now going on over three years of this, it is clear that Barack Obama is a drug user. It’s so clear that he is either now continuing to be or has been at formative years of his life. He exists in a world of self-induced brain damaged wasteland.

This coming from the guy who promised ON THE DAY HE BECAME THE PRESUMPTIVE NOMINEE, that wars would stop and the rising waters would recede. He quite literally promised to transform the Earth. If that’s not a phony election year promise, then one has never been made.

obama is 100% responsible for the chaos in the middle east. He was yapping about how the high price of gas is because of the instability in the middle east. lol Fucker, that’s his doing! Then he mocks republican’s saying the solution is to drill here.
obama promised to raise the price of energy and drive the coal industry out of business. He said he would side with Muslims. Seems like he has kept a lot of his promises, but a lot of people were swayed by his hope -n-change hype and were not listening.
Does this idiots war against coal fit in with his idea of using all sources of energy? When are the American people going to get fed up with this comedy act and throw the comedians out of office. An Old Testament phrase goes something like this “The wise man’s eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness” Obama has the whole country walking in darkness while telling us the sun is shining and there are enough fools to believe it. This is 2012, wake up and put this SOB in the unemployment line.
We no longer have to do “all of the above”. We now know for a fact that wind and solar power projects consume more money than they produce.
That still leaves:
- Natural Gas (which meets all leftist criteria for ‘Clean Energy’, but they still don’t like it.)
- Oil from Canada and the United States. (some wells in California need only turn the valves back on…….those ACTIVE WELLS that have been capped)
- Nuclear energy. And we need to start reprocessing our nuclear fuel so that we have very little nuclear waste. (or use a ‘Breeder’ reactor)
- I still think that COAL could be transformed into a more useable form. We could turn it into both a cleaner and more efficient fuel by converting it into a purer form.
Taking the Repubs to task for phony, election year promises, right?

The problem we have is not enough oil but refining capacity. I dont think we have built any new refinery since the 70s or 80s.
And you think this is bad, wait till the EPA get all the “old” coal fired plants generating electric power offline and we’ll see power bill go thru the roof…

O’deflector claims the credit for an increase in domestic production, most of it a result of fracking, which his administration has vigorously tried to squash. The “millions of acres of new ocean drilling” doesn’t mention that the vast areas are really not feasible drill sites and hold little promise of quantity, which is why his environmental-ass-kissing Czar approved them, they know noone is going to drill there. Algae, it’s the future people, is there any doubt a new Solyndra-type algae scam is imminent?
