At a campaign event in Coral Gables, Florida, President Obama says Republicans see rising gas prices as a “political opportunity” and they are “licking their chops.”
Obama didn’t stop there. “They greet bad news so enthusiastically,” he added.
“You pay more, they’re licking their chops. You can bet that since it’s an election year, they’re already dusting off their three-point plan for $2 gas. I’ll save you the suspense. Step one is to drill and step two is to drill and then step three is to keep drilling. We are at the same line in 2007 when I was running for president. We hear the same thing every year. We’ve heard the same thing for 30 years. Well, the American people aren’t stupid. They know that’s not a plan, especially since we’re already drilling,” he said.

The last NEW refinery constructed in America was back in the 1970′s. The existing refineries do get upgraded and expanded from time to time but it’s still trying to turn a pile of shit into a salad. One would think, that to design and build a new refinery with today’s technology…..
It’s all politics and green tree humpers. No other fuel can possibly rate in energy released to fossil fuels.

But not to simply make political points…it’s vastly more important to us to see the failure brought to an end! We aren’t interested in bringing you down, you do that so effectively yourself it takes very little effort on our part, as much as we are interested in saving ourselves from your failures…which are killing us.
Stated another way…
If you weren’t such a failure, we would have no reason to lick our chops, we would be enjoying prosperity and praising your good deeds. But we aren’t. And it’s because of you!
