Taliban Incite Afghans To Kill “Crusaders” Over Koran Burning…
Damn, I wish we were “Crusaders.”

The Taliban have urged all Afghans to move beyond “mere protests” and attack US military personnel throughout the country for burning copies of the Koran. The Taliban’s call has been echoed by some members of parliament.
“We should not be satisfied with mere protests and empty slogans but the military bases of the invaders, their military convoys and their troops should become a target of our courageous attacks,” said a statement that was released today on Voice of Jihad, the Taliban’s official website, and signed by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
“Kill them, beat them, take them as prisoners and teach them such a lesson that they never summon the courage to abuse the Holy Quran again,” the statement continued.

What isn’t being mentioned is that they were being burned because prisoners were writing extremist information in them(which is against islam) and so they were burning them according to islamic law. Looking back, they probably should have had some local imam do it but then again I bet they couldn’t get one to do it because of death threats.

We have lost the war in Afganistan. For this you can blame all those who wish to wage war in a “nice way” and hope the throwbacks in that country will like us. We no longer want to win wars, only make nice with barbarians. The English wages at least three major wars in Afganistan in the 19th century. When the savage tribes got out of hand the Brits would send in an army, knock the hell out of all of them, pacify the cities and country-side as much as possible, and then get the hell out of there. They knew the place was a cesspool of savagery and could not be occupied. But, they told the Pushtuns, etc. that the next time they caused trouble, they(the Brits)would send another army in and beat the hell out of them again.
The dimwits running our armed forces actually are now apologizing to these 7th century throwbacks and we go out of our way to ensure no Afganis are harmed, while allowing our troops to be slaughtered in the name of political correctness.
