I pay 1,000′s in property tax and most goes to my local school district…why in hell do we need the federal Department of Education to spend billions more of our tax dollars. I’ll pay for local education systems but don’t give a rip about schools in Oregon (I’m in Georgia).

I think if you get the 49.5% that pay no income taxes, and most likely no taxes at all with the earned income tax credit, food stamps… the honor of paying this privilege tax it would help.
