Didn’t she just return from a ski trip to Aspen? Apparently the ski lift operators are a chatty bunch.
(CNSNews.com) — First Lady Michelle Obama said she hears every day about the struggles of the middle class — which are nothing new, she added:
“Every day, I hear about how folks are struggling — the bills they’re trying to pay; the businesses they’re trying to keep afloat. I hear about how folks are taking that extra shift, they’re working that extra job, they’re doing whatever they have to — they’re saving, they’re sacrificing, never spending a dime on themselves because they desperately want something better for their kids.
“And make no mistake about it, these struggles that I’m talking about, these are not new. For decades now — decades — middle-class folks have been squeezed from all sides. See, the cost of things like gas, groceries, tuition — prices continuing to rise, but people’s paychecks just haven’t kept up. And when this economic crisis hit, for far too many families the bottom just completely fell out.”

Just imagine if for the next eight months we had a capital strike; didn’t make any major purchases, refused to hire new workers, take on new jobs or assignments or do anything more than the minimum to stay alive.

What if we told the cronys to sacrifice instead by boycotting GM, GE and all the other companies that feed off the taxpayer rather than compete in the open market? What if millions of people cancelled their cable for the next eight months and deprived the Legacy media of billions of dollars of advertising revenues? (You can probably get everything you want to see through the Internet anyway, and high speed phone and wireless frees you from cable fees).
Time to stop bitching and moaning about Marie Antoinette and consider steps to ensure she gets sacrificed in November, rather than us…
