“For the election I suppose it’s best for the president if they take their hard-right turn – sort of war on unions, war on women, and all these cultural issues,” Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-MD) said to host Bob Schieffer on CBS’ “Face the Nation” today.
“It’d be nice to see that ‘party of Lincoln’ emerge again, instead of this extreme right control that they submit themselves to in their own primaries,” he said.

I have lived in Maryland for the last 15 years and we have had some poor choices in the past.
Mr. O’Malley is easily the greatest of our errors, since he has been in Annapolis (capital) he has been a miserable failure. Maryland’s infrastructure has been on a death spiral since his election. Business startups are pitiful because of his over regulations and large tax hicks. People are leaving the state in larger numbers than any time in the past. He is a devote supporter of the Obama administration and is using some of his many liberal connections to try and become known nationwide. Most of his policies and spending habits are just as bad (if not worse) then his hero in the White House with the same results, failure on a monumental scale. He is now proposing another massive tax increase to cover his many failed policies, and like his hero blames everyone but himself.
The skeletons are his closet is larger than the people under the Obama bus. Unfortunately the Kool-Aide drinkers from Montgomery and the plantation Democrats in Prince George County will continue to allow this corruption because they do not know any better.
Maryland has been a blue tax-your-ass-to-death shithole for 40 years. You could plow the whole state underground and turn it into a giant park for dogs and cats to piss and shit on. It would be a vast improvement.

Big Pete, I respectfully suggest you & anyone else that thinks the civil war was fought over slavery read “The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Civil War”, by H.W. Crocker III. As one example, the Emancipation Proclamation did not free a single slave. As another exmaple, there were thousands of free blacks fighting against the Union. I could go on & on, but instead, take the time to read the book yourself.
If you do read it, then I suggest you consider the wisdom of our founding father, John Adams, when he said, “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”
Unfortunately, our Gov. O’Malley in MD takes “liberal license” (pun intended) w/the facts in evidence in MD; & far too many MD’ers are looking to his “license” to give them a free handout on the backs of others. Meanwhile, his feigned humanity in support of women & immigrants plays to the absence of facts & directly to the dictates of the liberals’ passion for power by denying the poorest among us the freedom to empower themselves. The “nanny” that is the Demorcrat party in MD & in the rest of the USA will reach its own end; but, rhetorically, at what cost? Perhaps the end of the USA itself…
