Let’s see if Obama can give a ‘shout out’ to the real estate market so we can watch the home sales sky rocket!

lmao, just saw a local ad referring to the 5 voltrons in stock as a “Blowout Sale.”

Obama can “shout out” all he wants. The fact remains the car is badly overpriced and the market is not yet accepting of it.

GM announces yet another Volt production shutdown
GM announced on Friday that it is shutting down Volt production again starting March 19. This lull in production will last for five weeks. GM decided to take this step of cutting back production instead of putting more money on the hood to get customers to drive away from the dealership with a new Volt.
“This move is to keep proper inventory levels,” said GM spokesman Chris Lee.
Quote: “”"”Proper inventory levels””” equals ‘no one is buying the ones we already produced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’
General Motors plans to halt production of the Chevrolet Volt at its Detroit-Hamtramck plant for three weeks in July, instead of the traditional two-week shutdown.
“This is (a) normal part of business as managing to market demand,” GM spokeswoman Michelle Malcho said in an e-mail.
if by “shout out”, one means baraka mcspendypants issued an edict to gov’t motors to jam the dealer pipeline with these lil’ firebombs, and further issued a directive to his minions in the G to purchase them for their fleets.

Another post-Presidency job for King Barack (besides hoops announcer) could be automotive pitchman.

Hey little eddie!
“If you’re thinking about buying a fuel-efficient hybrid, electric or otherwise eco-friendly vehicle as a way to save money over time, do your homework — or be prepared to wait.
Buyers who choose Nissan’s all-electric Leaf ($28,421) over its approximate gas-powered equivalent, Nissan’s Versa ($18,640), will likely wait nearly 9 years until they break even, according to a new report by The New York Times that examines the cost of fuel efficiency.
For drivers of the Chevrolet Volt ($31,767), the wait is even longer— 26.6 years.”

@fubar One of the guys in my office complex has a white volt. Nice looking car. Better than the pictures…in my humble opinion.
Would I buy one? In the southern vernacular…..Hail NO!

@chiggerbug
do you live urban area? I’m rural. I mean, it’s 18 miles to a grocery store. it’s 80 miles one way to a mall for me. that could be why i don’t see them. lol.

How many do you suppose Lardass Ed owns?
BART SIMPSONSSON
There would be an uptick in Volt sales, if part of the shout-out ChicagoJesus gave included his actually purchasing one…….
Wooooo!!!!!
I once lived in a 3 story apartment complex. Imagine about a couple hundred extension cords running from everybody’s windows to the parking lot if everyone had a Volt.
Sure would suck if you had an apartment facing away from the parking lot. Then you’d have to run an even longer extension cord. Out your window. Up the exterior wall. Over the roof…
Next up: A $1 trillion stimulus package from Bammy. To install posts with plugs in every apartment complex’s parking lot across the US. So Chevy could sell another Volt.
Wooooo!!!!!
And underground connect the posts with plugs in the parking lot into everyone’s separate meter inside the apartment building.

If I worked for Ford, Mercedes, Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, or any of the other carmakers with factories in the USA, I’d be pissed at little lord lie-a-lot. That would be something along the lines of an endorsement. I’d love to see one of the other carmakers sue his a$$.
