I wonder if it’s the same in WI and if there is any connection between the motor vehicle and election departments and if she’ll have to pay something if WI has the same type of rule.

Please don’t try to persuade the right wing nutcases here with math. They don’t have a clue and could care less. After all, they seem to think the only folks collecting “handouts” and “entitlements” are minorities and folks that don’t look like them, ie: missing all but 3 teeth. But here I go anyway. there are over 46 MILLION people receiving government assistance. There are 12.6 million (okay, we’ll make it 13 million for those who think the period means the end of a sentence) blacks in America. There may be 15 million Hispanics and other races. Now, let’s assume, for the sake of being racist, that all 100% (that means ALL OF THEM) are on “handouts & entitlements and Obama Food Stamps”. Okay. that means 28 Million folks gettin’ their freebies on. Ooops. Doing the math (I know, but take some aspirin, the headache will go away) this means that there are STILL 18 MILLION poor, white, Republicant voters on the dole. How can I say this you ask? Well, predominantly, it is poor, rural white folk getting their freebie on, and guess who they typically vote for in elections? If you said REPUBLICANS, then you are RIGHT (well, you were already Right before). But in reality, maybe 60% at MOST of the minorities you hate so badly are receiving any kinds of “entitlements and handouts at most. Which means now that those white numbers jump WAY UP. So who ya gonna hate now? That’s RIGHT! You are hating on your own kind. Poor, illiterate, rural, Republicans. ENJOY! (I know all us LIBS sure do!)

I meant 100% of the previously registered voters cause, you know like that happens all the time that they vote 100% of the time – sure they do!
In Maryland, they wait until all the other votes are counted and then Baltimore turns in their votes because if they did it earlier they wouldn’t know how many votes they needed to make sure that their candidates win. I hope this isn’t what they are doing with the 119% of Madison’s votes.

Our math is just fine. I’ll give you that 4% of the white population are lazy grifters like the 95% of the colored population. That math is easy. I have little respect for that 4% as well. They are enslaved. Might as well have shackles on because they are owned. Their master is dependency. As for me, give me liberty or give me death. Hummm where have we heard that before?
Obviously these trolls went to public school after 1970 or they would know that 119% is not possible. Consider the mathematical genius of YDY:

Sorry to disappoint you YDY but using your numbers, 100 registered voters show up and vote. 19 more people not registered show up, register and vote. All total 119 registered voters voted. Put another way, of the 119 people registered to vote, all 119 OR 100% of registered voters voted. As in all registered voters voted, regardless of when they registered, if all voted than all = 100%. No need to thank me for this math lesson. Thank all my non-union affiliated teachers.

Your ‘math’ assumes all 100% of the pre-registered voters are deciding to vote. The turnout being reported is in the 60% range. It is based on what is known…namely the number of pre-registered voters. For 119% to vote, when only 60% of the pre-registered are turning out, your ‘math’ assumes half the voters are registering at the polls. 60% turnout + 59% registering at polls = 119%.
Please take a refresher course in common sense before you display your ignorance like that. It makes you look like a clown and a stooge. There’s more to math than simple addition. But maybe you never got to fractions in your vast mathematical education.
MN Jim
In the MN Al Franken election, the news reported that 23 precincts had more votes than registered voters. It was reported that boxes of ballots appeared the next day for the recount, many were back-dated. The governor said there was rampant fraud. Yet Franken was still awarded the Senate seat after losing on election night.
If Romney does not win big, he will lose due to fraud.

Dear Axe,
Registering at the polls still makes you a ‘registered voter.’ This said nothing about ‘pre registered’ or ‘registered at the polls.’ Does the county registrar count ‘pre registered’ voters differently than ‘registered’ ones in their statistics? If so, why?
hempstead
Only 119%? Kinda low, wouldn’t ya say?
Texasron
They would have hit 119% but the busses carrying the dead from Chicago broke down.
NvMtnOldMan
If all the pre-election registered voted that would be 100%.
Then if all the ones that registered on election day voted it would still be 100% of registered voted. And you trolls call us conservatives dumb?????

Occam’s Tool
@YellowDogYankee: Libs got face stepped on with Godzilla foot.
Patriot Act
The voter turnout across the state was in the 55% ballpark (and a good chunk of that was probably voter fraud to begin with through absentee voting, etc.).
For one city in the state to have 119% turnout is a virtual statistical impossibility. It would require absurdly large numbers of same-day registrations (most of which would probably also be fraudulent, but I digress), when the rest of the state saw no such surge. Do you trolls seriously believe this? Seriously??
Surely you can’t be that stupid. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you’re lying.
What we’re talking about here is patently obvious, epic-scale illegality. If there were any justice whatsoever in the “Justice” Department, then very many people would be getting arrested in the coming days.
Fat chance of that, when you have dishonest lying weasels (aka. Democrats) populating everything from the Justice Department to the States Attorneys offices, the police departments to the court system. Now, if they can find a case of Republican voter fraud, then they will pursue that with gusto and shout it out to high heaven.
Axe
@noelle c
If I understand your question, the answer is obviously yes. They are treated differently.
What you’re saying is that when you register at the polls, you become part of the body of registered voters. Now if at that point the registrar added you to the body of registered voters, then it would be impossible to ever get more than 100% turnout. Because the new guys become part of the whole. So the whole is 100% including everybody and therefore it can never exceed 100%.
But that’s not what was said here. They said it was on pace to turnout 119%. So obviously the turnout number of 50% or 60% or whatever it was they were announcing during the election did not include those registering at the polls. How could it since they don’t know those numbers until after they register and that doesn’t happen until after the whole election is over and they can be tallied up.
What they announce during the election is based on the known quantity of pre-registered voters. It is inaccurate naturally because it does not include those registering at the polls. So after everything is over, the turnout will be adjusted to be accurate by including what is now known…the additional number who registered at the polls. But they don’t know that until after the election is over.
I don’t think I explained that as clearly as it could have been, but the fact remains that in order to reach 119% turnout, they must not be adding the poll-registered numbers until after they are all known once everything is over. Instead, they add them on top of the turnout of pre-registered voters, that they know ahead of time, as people register during the day, and that gets them past 100%.
So yeah you become a registered voter once you register at the polls, but you aren’t counted as such until after everything is over. It is plain that the registrar does indeed count them differently in their ‘election day’ statistics because the turnout apparantly can exceed 100% at that time. But of course they do eventually get added in and the ‘true’ turnout number is determined in the ‘final’ statistics announced after the election.
Why do they do it that way? Because the number of poll-registered voters isn’t known yet during the election…only when everything is over is that known. That’s why there exists the potential to get to over 100%. Because they do it that way.
You could argue that they should keep a running total during the election in order to announce perfectly accurate numbers as the day progresses, but clearly that isn’t what they have done here. Probably because it is too intesive to keep a running total. Too much effort. Changes too frequently etc. It’s just too cumbersome to keep it perfectly up to date as the election proceeds. When it’s all over, it becomes trivial to do it.
Thus, sweetie’s math is screwy because, although her addition is accurate, she is ignoring the fractional portion of the 100% known beforehand who have decided not to vote. Which if you take into account leads to the conclusion that just as many are registering at the polls as are choosing to vote amongst those who pre-registered. And that assumption just doesn’t pass muster on a common sense basis.
