Chief Justice Roberts clearly saw it as a tax, Obama and the Democrats blatantly lied to the American insisting it was not a tax. It will end up being the biggest tax in American History, but the cost and implications will go far beyond how this disasterous bill will effect jobs and the economy if it is not repealed before 2014.

Fine by me, if it’s not a tax it is patently unconstitutional, as per the Supreme Court decision. They need to pound this point every single time a Democrat says it is not a tax.

Yup. I was pissed off at first but the more you think about it, the more apparent his genius becomes.

Remember, it takes only 51 senators to overturn a tax.

Because Republicans can use reconciliation to move budgetary and tax issues. Reconciliation cannot be filibustered and only requires 50 Republicans Senators (plus the Republican Vice President) or 51 Republicans. Senate could essentially pass a “budgetary” measure that says the mandate’s penalty is $0.00 and, thus, no more mandate.

Apart from bad reelection optics (“read my lips, no new taxes”), above should have them more than worried.

Perhaps we can just start calling it a “kinetic tax action” aimed at the heart of the healthcare industry, since Obama would never engage in “war”.

I think this may turn out all right. Taxing Americans (the biggest tax hike in history) in a slow, debilitated economy doesn’t seem very bright. I hope Romney uses this like a sledge hammer over and over.

In my mind I don’t care what it’s called penalty/fine/tax/whatever. For me it’s theft by our elected officials.

They are stealing my hard earned $$ … period.

Obama’s claim is the 26 rule is for college students.

They will benefit ,but take a welfare family of mama and 3 kids.The kids start reproducing at 18 or so.They are on mama’s insurance so the new babies are covered. They reproduce for 8 yrs and you’ve got 4-6 kids x 3 on 1 persons low income plan.

Now make 1 of the babies disabled.This child goes on lifetime disability.The mother receives the check,a monthly check for caring for her own child and advances her brood to her healthcare at 26 .Now add her welfare,sec 8,food stamps,college grants and utility aid.Next 1 of her kids gets pregnant………………..

The guy actually said ” this is a penalty “on the FEW PEOPLE who can afford insurance but choose not to pay for”!!

So, I ask you this – if it is so FEW PEOPLE who fit in that category then why did we need this and how are we going to pay for it!?
