the Bush tax cuts helped the economy when they were enacted. letting the rates go up would have hurt the economy in 2010, but keeping the rates didn’t necessarily help anything. they need to stop playing this game with the tax rates every election cycle, dangling the threat of an increase in front of us. THAT uncertainty does hurt.
