If Romney accidentally listen to me here is what I would tell him in Year One of his reign:
1. UPOD, UPOD, and then UPOD some more, to wit: Under Promise, but Over Deliver, and let us “discover” this
2. Engage in Deconstructive Capitalism, because it feasts off economic errors, so get this horrible medicine out of the way ASAP, so you can gradually gear up for the next big run after your first year…In essence, no more BS, unclog our system, do the needed Root Canal on the economy right off…Note, Socialism feasts on our economic muscle
3. Drag our country kicking and screaming into the Fair Tax or Flat Tax or something that doesn’t add on to the present mess…Once, us average folk see the big shots pay more when they buy more this will satisfy those who do not think the rich pay enough, as well as give you more money to waste (Gawd forbid NOT spending on crap)
4. Embrace natural gas, beginning with the military and big truckers
