ObamaCare does not give anyone “healthcare.” All it does is force everyone to purchase a health insurance policy or sign up for medicaid. “Healthcare” is what you would get if you actually get to see a qualified doctor and receive appropriate treatment, which ObamaCare makes darn sure won’t happen.

Canada doesn’t have Universal Health care either.

There are ‘listed’ coverages and ‘delisted’. Depending on the province.

If you need something done that’s been delisted, well you are SOL

but if you want your penis inverted to a vagina, that’s listed.

In the meanwhile, healthcare costs are about 50% of just about all the provinces budgets, and rising.

Then there is the wait times. Getting longer and longer.

I was talking to a guy up the street yesterday, whom had to apply for total disability. He had several back surgeries. And he did not want to go on it, but was being forced by his employers insurance to do so. If he didn’t, they were going to drop him.

Well, that was back in 08, 09 when he was granted it. Now he gets a monthly check. It’s sad to see him this way and he DOESN’T like it. He still wants to get back to work, though I don’t think it’s possible for him.

Upon saying that, he’s worried about his check and insurance. Didn’t know what to tell him, meaning if he would be okay or not.

He’s about older 50′ish. Any help here in to what to tell him?

Canadian healthcare may not be perfect, but at least our government isn’t forcing us to buy private health insurance. I have my own through Blue Cross, but that was my choice.

I’m in a similar situation. help out some older folks, the guys’ been in a wheelchair from a MV accident (work related) for 30 yrs.

My thinking is that our govt has to contract 50-75%. these are the types that DESERVE the disability and assistance, not that 800% of the other parasites that would rather sit on the couch and watch american idol (and we can’t keep them from voting)

tell him to join a church or freedomworks and get in line with other like minded individuals. even Beck says if possible, get off all govt assistance.
