Napalitano’s only legal recourse, if she was standing before a court, would be to resign her position. He 5th amendment rights begin only AFTER her public obligations are terminated. Civil rights are private, individual rights! They do not protect an employee from full disclosure to his or her employer.

Only private citizens have the right to remain silent. Either make yourself a private citizen (resign), or answer the question!
