I still don’t get it. If the bomber was a former Gitmo resident, is there some kind of coordination going on between al-Qaeda and Iran?
Gitmo inmates would be Sunni Muslim extremists. The Iranian-backed Hezbollah would be Shia Muslim extremists.
The interest of al-Qaeda and Iran should be fighting against each other as we speak, in a part of the world known as Syria; Iran on the side of the Syrian government, and al-Qaeda on the side of the ‘Rebels’.

I love Bibi. I have nothing but respect for him. I can’t imagine the weight of the responsibility he carries on his shoulders.
Interesting point. Gitmo isn’t all Sunni, it has your garden variety of muzzies from everywhere. Everything always leads back to Iran and Pakistan. The hatred for the Jew is universal by all these groups and sub-groups so there is no telling who all is working together to kill the Jews. In Iraq they came from all over the world to fight in the jihad and most of the bill was paid for by Iran. I can’t imagine this being any different, kill the infidel as the saying goes.

gastorgrab,
The Sunni and the Shia are at each other’s throats, but they are capable of calling a pause there and then to act together against the common enemy: The non-Muslims.
This is why I don’t believe pitting the various sects of Islam has value beyond the short term. Long-term security can only be guaranteed by expelling the entire population from which 100% of terrorist attacks emanate. What the Serbs nearly managed to accomplish when Clinton intervened to stop them at the behest of the Arab Oil Lobby.

Hard to know who to believe. More believable right now is
that the MB and their affiliates are feeling confident right now.
That they think they don’t have to worry about American
intervention because they have American (only Obama) backing.
Other reports seem to confirms this situation right now.

I think stability in the rest of the world lies in getting the different sects of Islam to wage war on each other.

“I think stability in the rest of the world lies in getting the different sects of Islam to wage war on each other.”
And then the US will move in to defeat the victor, game over.

We will need to beat them like we did the Japanese and Germans in WWII—we will need to break their backs until they are totally beaten. We can. The only question is how much punishment we will take before we start.
