When asked by POLITICO how many jobs would be lost or workers furloughed at the Executive Office of the President, Carney said he didn’t know offhand.

A senior administration official emails this response: “Yes, the Executive Office of the President is subject to the sequester, and we anticipate significant disruption to our operations and mission, which could include furloughs.” The official declined to provide further information.
